Do I need a visa to enter Austria?
It depends on the country you are travelling from. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens do not; many other nationalities can visit visa-free for up to 90 days, and the rest need a short-stay Schengen visa. Check your nationality on the Austrian Ministry for European and International Affairs page, and see our visa guide for the full process.
What are the ticket prices for DjangoCon Europe?

Do you provide an invitation letter for my visa application?
Yes. Email diversity@djangocon.eu to request one — see the visa guide for what it does and does not cover.
How do I apply for a grant for DjangoCon EU 2027?
Grant applications open on 30 November 2026. The form will be published on the grants page.
What do I do if I am refused a visa but still bought tickets?
Sorry, hopefully that doesn't happen. But if it does, email our staff here 2027@djangocon.eu and the team will get back to you.
Are there options for virtual participation?
Yes there are, but you would need to purchase a ticket before getting access to the platform, allowing you to stream live. You can get the virtual ticket here.
